Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

Our By George, 5th Anniversary Celebration Fundraiser will be held on Friday, November 1st in the Historic McFarland House in downtown Martinsburg, West Virginia. During this unique dinner event, guests will take part in a night of celebration. Our small museum with big ideas has survived the challenges of our initial organization and start-up. We are becoming recognized in the community as a treasure for our children and a foundational source to teach them about the cultural heritage of the Eastern Panhandle. We look forward to taking the next step to consolidate our operations and expand our offerings to the community. Come support and join us as we share with you our accomplishments and show you the fun to be had in our museum.

We are excited to offer a dinner of artistic cuisine by the new French-trained Chef William Walden. He has worked at L’Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls, and co-owned or operated several restaurants in the Washington, DC metro area and also in Boca Raton, Florida. At Goodstone Inn in Middleburg, Virginia, Chef Walden cooked for celebrities like Lynda Carter and Robert Duvall and also for American presidents at inaugural dinners. This will be a treat to be shared with your friends and associates.

Why Become an Event Sponsor?

There continues to be a critical need to raise funds for the operation of the museum. The museum receives less than half of its operating budget from a $15,000 City of Martinsburg Grant with the remainder coming through admissions and the kindness and support of individual and corporate donors. The museum’s part-time Director is the only permanent employee. Volunteer docents, Board Members, and a part-time helper make up the remainder of the staff. Our goal is to expand the museum’s educational offerings, exhibits, and to enlarge our staff beyond the current level. However, before that goal is fulfilled, we must raise funds to continue to sustain our current operations.
